Classic Campaign – Mission 9M: Blizzard Battle!

Push back Olaf’s forces and secure 12 cities for Orange Star.

Mission Strategy

This mission has a unique goal. Instead of the standard “Capture the Enemy HQ” or “Defeat All Enemies” objectives, you can also win by owning 12 structures (HQ, Cities, Bases). This structure capture goal is what you should aim for, as the enemy HQ is heavily guarded.

• Speed Goal: 8

12 City Capture: The map is divided into two sides with water running through the middle. Both sides contain 11 structures, one fewer than needed for victory. You goal should be to capture your entire side and one City on the enemy side.

The easiest City to take from the enemy is the central one just over the bridge. If you are winning on the northern front, you can also capture one of those Cities as well, but this will likely take longer.

The central bridge is a narrow choke point. If you are playing as Andy, this is a great spot for one to two Artillery behind a Tank. As Max, you’ll have to one-shot the enemy with tanks to push across. Remember that your Infantry and Mechs can cross the Mountains as well to help with securing the central bridge.

Olaf’s Medium Tanks and Rockets on this map will not advance unless they have a target. Keep this in mind when pushing forward; it might be best to not get their attention if possible.

Turn by Turn Walkthrough

• Pick Max as your CO

Day 1

• Load your Mech into APC
• Advance your APC, dropping your Mech either east or north
• Advance your Medium Tank, Tank, Mech, and both Infantry
• Build two Infantry

Day 2

• Destroy the enemy Tank with your Medium Tank
• Load either of your Infantry into APC
• Advance your APC, dropping the Infantry to the west
• Start capturing the Base with your Mech
• Advance your other Mech, Tank, and all Infantry

Day 3

• Attack the enemy Tank with your Mech from the City
• Attack the enemy Medium Tank with your Medium Tank
• Destroy the enemy Artillery with your Tank
• Finish capturing the Base with your Mech
• Advance your east Infantry
• Start capturing Cities with your other three Infantry
• Build a Tank at the east Base

Day 4

• Destroy the enemy Tank with your Mech
• Finish capturing the three Cities
• Start capturing the central north City with your Infantry
• Start capturing the City next to the north Base with your Mech
• Advance both of your Tanks and your Medium Tank

Day 5

• Finish capturing both Cities
• Start capturing the neutral north City with your Infantry
• Advance your Tank, Medium Tank, Mech, and other two Infantry

Day 6

• Destroy the enemy Recon with your south Tank
• Destroy the enemy Tank with your Medium Tank
• Start capturing the neutral City with your south west Infantry
• Finish capturing the north City
• Destroy the north enemy Infantry with your north Tank (for Power score)
• Advance your other south Infantry

Day 7

• Destroy the south enemy Infantry with your south Tank
• Destroy the enemy Tank with your Medium Tank (for Power score)
• Finish capturing the City
• Start capturing the enemy south City

Day 8 – Victory

• Finish capturing the City
