AW2 Classic Campaign – Mission 2: Border Skirmish

Black Hole troops are approaching through the fog! Can Sami successfully hold the bridge?

Mission Strategy

This mission is against the Black Hole CO Flak. Flak’s units have a chance to deal up to 25% more to 10% less damage. This chance is based on a random number generator (RNG). Even if you play the mission exactly the same, the RNG will change the outcomes. He has no specific specialty units and not specific weakness.

His CO Power increases the RNG to a range of +50% to -20% while also giving his units a guaranteed +10 to offense and defense. His Super CO Power greatly increases the RNG to a range of +90% to -30% while still giving the same +10% offense and defense.

Defeat All Enemies: This mission is intended to be fought at the central Bridge. Lucky for you, there is an allied City on your side of the Bridge. Placing your Tank or Mech there will create an effective and deadly wall that the enemy will struggle to break through. If you are using your Mech, be aware that the enemy Infantry can go into the Rivers and double up on the attack.

With your wall unit on the City, your Rockets will be safe to rain down upon the enemy forces. Use your Recon to help spot for it if needed. Try to not let enemies with 2 health or less live. They will retreat to the nearest enemy property to heal up, extending the length of the mission.

HQ Capture: Since this is a Fog of War mission, capturing the enemy HQ is a great strategy to go for in case you miss an enemy in the fog. Sami’s Mechs and Infantry can capture the HQ quickly even if injured, so you don’t need to worry as much about letting them fight on their way over.

You will likely find your main force stuck at the Bridge, but you can sneak your Mech or Infantry north and move through the Woods to the enemy HQ. Be aware though you will have to deal with Flak’s Artillery in the Woods near the HQ since it can hit any of your units on the HQ.
