Concepts
These pages attempt to teach the basic concepts of Satisfactory.
Below is the full list of subpages in this category:
Build Gun
The Build Gun is the key to managing your factory, both practically and aesthetically. It allows construction of buildings, dismantling of existing structures, and color and texture customization.
Milestones
Milestones are the main form of progression in Satisfactory. Each new Milestone achieved will unlock new Buildings, Equipment, and Recipes for use in you factory.
Space Elevator
The Space Elevator is mainly used to unlock new Milestone research. It is also a measure of your overall progress, where completion of the final phase is generally considered to be the ‘end’ of the game.
Molecular Analysis Machine (MAM)
The Molecular Analysis Machine (MAM) allows you to research items, buildings, and alternate recipes not included in Milestones.
Resource Deposits
Resource Deposits are a limited cache of a specific material. Once mined, they disappear forever, giving you a decent amount of the associated material.
Resource Nodes
Resource Nodes are one of the most essential aspects of Satisfactory. Almost all of your basic materials will come from Resource Nodes.
Even the most complicated endgame factory starts with Resource Nodes.
Resource Wells
Resource Wells are an essential source of certain basic resources.
Resource Wells are very similar to Resource Nodes , but instead produce a non-solid (liquid or gas) output. Additionally, wells do not have associated Resource Deposits like nodes do.
Power
Power (or Electricity) is required for most building to function. It is produced by multiple Power Generator Buildings and distributed through Power Lines. It can be stored in Power Storage for later use.
Manipulating Items
Moving items around efficiently is essential to a successful factory. Luckily, there are many options to help Pioneers move items from one place to another. Generally, Item Manipulation is simpler and more versatile than Fluid Manipulation .
Manipulating Fluids & Gases
Fluids and gases are just as important of a resource as items, but require very different methods of transportation. While there are not as many options, fluid and gas manipulation requires a bit more thought than Item Manipulation .
Trains
Trains are an extremely powerful resource for moving items and fluids over long distances automatically. While they are more complicated and expensive than other options, they are well worth the investment.
AWESOME Sink
The Anti-Waste Effort for Stress-Testing of Materials on Exoplanets (AWESOME) Sink is a special building that breaks down items (not fluids/gasses) into points based on their complexity or rarity.
